Sheltering Wings Center for Women
Sheltering Wings Center
for Women provides safe shelter, counseling, training, and support for
women and their children suffering domestic violence and abuse. The new facility is an
11,000sf one-story frame building, providing residential apartments,
kitchen, dining, laundry, childcare, and similar family support areas, and
administrative offices for Sheltering Wings Center staff, within a secure
and pleasing environment. Security and service are priority design
criteria. A design-build delivery
was selected for this project. Mechanical and electrical construction
costs totaled approximately $275,000.00, and overall project construction
costs were approximately $1,100,000.00. Owner: Sheltering Wings
